Rock Lake Exploration Cruise
Date: Sunday, July 14th, 2019
Join us for an exploration of Rock Lake’s ecology! Travel to various stations to learn about:
How we measure water quality ● Rock Lake fish & aquatic plants ● Impact of shorelines ● How we hope to protect the lake ● How to prevent invasive species
You may: Paddle your own boat or ride in a pontoon provided by RLIA, but either way you must register.
Where: Sandy Beach (no cost to enter beach), no cost for the cruise
Time: Registration opens at 9 am. The cruise leaves at 9:30 am. Pontoon seating is LIMITED!
We strongly encourage you to register online. Even with this online registration, you MUST arrive between 9 – 9:20 am to keep your registration. Otherwise, at 9:20am, your registration will be released to those on a waitlist.
Note: If it is thundering or lightening, the cruise is cancelled. If the captains decide the winds are too strong, you will be called by 8:45am. Remember: wear sunscreen; bring a hat/sunglasses; your own water bottle. You are welcome to bring a pair of binoculars.
