Special Board Meeting Minutes Jan. 25, 2010

Lake Mills Municipal Building, 6:30 P.M.

 

Meeting Called to Order: By Jan Jenrich, president, at 6:30 p.m.

Attendance: Present – Jim Colegrove, Betsy Delorey, Lee Gatzke, Jan Jenrich, Scott Johnson, Margaret Krueger, Katie Otto and Jim Plotz. Absent – Bill Amann and Ron Niedfeldt.

 

New Business: Discuss having Neil O’Reilly from Hey & Associates attend the scheduled Jefferson County Land and Water Committee meeting in Jefferson on January 27, and the Lake Mills Town Board meeting on Feb. 9 and the associated costs. Motion, made Otto and seconded by Delorey, to approve an amount not to exceed $500 to have Hey & Associates come to the county and town meetings for letters of support for two grants.

 

Amendment to motion made by Plotz and seconded by Delorey, to have Hey & Associates attend the county meeting, then Jenrich and Otto will assess the results and determine if Neil O’Reilly would still be required to attend the town meeting after discussion with town board members Jim Heinz, Dave Schroeder and Tom Berns.

 

Discussion followed on importance of having O’Reilly attend the meetings, and whether associated costs could be lowered by having him attend only one meeting instead of two.

 

Amendment to motion was passed unanimously, on a 7-0 vote. Motion was passed on a vote of 5-2.

 

Adjournment: Motion to adjourn made by Plotz and seconded by Otto. Meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.

 

Board meeting schedule: Next meeting will be on Feb. 8, 2010.
